MEETINGS, CONFERENCES & EVENTS
The OcuTher consortium will organise annual conferences, where ESRs will present their work and invited speakers will discuss the latest developments in the field. The conference is accessible to the general public, but specific sessions where sensitive information/knowledge is discussed can be closed-off for third parties and/or associate partners. In addition, ESRs will be encouraged to submit abstracts to other international conferences (and attend these conferences) to extend their network and stimulate the generation of creative novel ideas.
In compliance with open-access policy of EU, OcuTher is committed to disseminate its research results to a variety of stakeholders and to stimulate public engagement. Dissemination is not a one-time activity, but rather a process that involves a long-term relationship with the relevant stakeholders. The OcuTher outreach strategy addresses the following goals: a) to create awareness among the general public about the importance of OcuTher research and what the implications are for the treatment of ocular diseases, b) raise awareness about Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions and how EC together with the scientific community can contribute towards better solutions in healthcare, c) introduce students to the OcuTher innovative and multidisciplinary research, and d) to create a new generation of scientists that can effectively communicate with the general public.
